What do DevOps & Cloud jobs involve?
DevOps engineers bridge the gap between development and operations. They manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), set up continuous integration and delivery pipelines, orchestrate containers with Kubernetes, monitor production and respond to incidents. Related roles such as SRE (Site Reliability Engineer), Platform Engineer and Cloud Architect share the same DNA: automation, reliability and security.
Typical responsibilities
- Automate application deployment (CI/CD) and infrastructure as code.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and multi-region cloud environments.
- Set up monitoring, alerting and on-call procedures.
